Gameplay
You pilot the orange helicopter, referred to as the chopper. Your goal is to blow up as many moles as you can by dropping bombs on them.
The fall of the bombs is influenced by the movement of the chopper. Drop while flying left/right, the bombs will be thrown left/right. Drop while flying downwards, the bombs will drop with greater velocity.
Moles appear from the ground and burrow back into the ground at random places and times. Some moles have shields, while others have rocket launchers.
Shield moles will deflect your bombs if the bombs hit their shields. Deflected bombs destroy the chopper on contact and will explode at the apex of their deflected path.
Rocket moles will fire rockets at your chopper, which you will have to dodge. Rockets destroy the chopper on contact.
Moles are introduced in waves. The wave will increment every 10 points (earned by blowing up moles).
Starting on wave 0, shield moles appear at wave 1, rocket moles appear at wave 2, and waves 3, 4, 5 and 6 change the probability of mole types until unarmed moles stop appearing.
Wave 7+ do not change anything at this point in time, simply serving as points of reference as to how far you've gotten.
Features
High score is saved and displayed on the title screen.
Pressing the escape key pauses the game.
Settings menu, accessible through the pause menu, includes volume slider.
Restart button on the pause menu will restart the game.
Holding A, M, B, E and R keys at the same time sets the mole spawn timer to extremely low values, creating a sea of moles that you can attempt to battle. This was originally a debug tool for testing the random spawn location range, and has been left in as a hidden extra 'challenge'.
Known Bugs
- For Firefox users, some sound effects cut out randomly from wave 2 and onward.
- Bombs huddle up into a cluster underneath the chopper when deployed in mass while flying downwards.
- Explosion sound effect stacking causes audio quality issues.
- Chopper occasionally subtly jitters when fully banked.

I enjoyed playing this at the UTAS expo. It's a surprisingly challenging game to get the hang of! Would be fun as a mobile/console game, possibly with gyro controls.
